I really enjoyed reading through your writing exercises. They certainly demonstrate your varied skills as a writer. As might be assumed considering your specialization, the voices established in these works are clear and articulate. One of the things I love about short exercises like these is getting to see how much an author can “pull off” in just a few pages and you do just that. The first three exercises all do a great job of quickly developing well-rounded, complete characters. I really liked the way you took part of the scene from the second exercise and expanded it in the third, it really worked. Your switches between reality and fantasy in the last exercise are also well executed. You thread the worlds together seamlessly and move your reader back and forth without confusion. Well done.
